Blackwell Auctions is proud to present our February Exceptional Estates auction, consisting of fresh-to-the-market antiques, art, jewelry, silver and more. This month's offerings include a number of fine sterling silver items: a Gorham Martele sterling silver bonbon bowl, several pieces of Imperial Russian .875 silver, antique English sterling, and American sterling items in popular patterns -- Gorham Chantilly, Wallace Grand Baroque and Golden Aegean Weave, Reed & Barton Francis I, S. Kirk Repousse etc. Also a flawless set of eight Gorham sterling silver goblets. We're also selling a nice selection of jewelry and coins, including a Rolex watch, pieces by Tiffany & Co. and David Yurman, gold Russian rubles, graded gold proof U.S. coins, as well as U.S. silver coins and U.S. currency. Several pieces of listed art, including signed photos by Clyde Butcher, paintings by Corwin Linson, Ernest Fredericks, Hans Haffenrichter, Earl Linderman, Herbert Sartelle, and others, a bronze plaque of Augustus Saint-Gaudens by James Earle Fraser, and two Alexander Calder pieces. A Browning Light Twelve shotgun. A 1944 German byf Mauser bored to .30-06 and given a stunning custom stock by Gartman. Two early switchblade knives, including a WWII Schrade paratrooper knife.
